Mrs Leonila Kishebuka
Mrs Leonila Kishebuka is a holder of LL.B from the University of Dar es Salaam. She brings her 20 years of practical experience in the field of Intellectual Property. She had been Deputy Registrar of Trademarks and Patents at the Business Registrations and Licensing Agency (BRELA) for 20 years. She worked as a member of the Board for Copyright Society in Tanzania (COSOTA) and further has been member of the Board for Patent Breeders Rights.
Mrs Kishebuka has both national and International experience on Intellectual Property rights. During her tenure as Deputy Registrar of Intellectual Property she attended both local and International meeting and consultative meetings, worked in several technical working teams on intellectual property forums ranging from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO).
She is an icon of Intellectual Property law in Tanzania. She has now retired from public service and she works as a consultant at Vertex Law Chambers.
At Vertex law chambers she is also a consultant in some other field such as Merger and Acquisition, Family Law, Administration of Estates and Conveyance.
